It took almost 70 years for Poul Kjrholms PK23 Lounge Chair (1954) to make it beyond a simple sketch. The distinctive split-design seat was finally ushered past a prototype by Kjrholms wife, Henne, and brought to life by Danish furniture-makers Fritz Hansen. The chairs wide, low form and beautiful vertical detail create a place for conversation and a conversation starter. Clean lines and thoughtful proportions capture Kjrholms talent for precision design. The chairs back and seat are crafted from laminated veneer shells, and the base is made of either stainless steel or powder-coated steel. Made in Denmark.
