A dual-purpose, modular design, the Luva Armless Chair (2022) features an innovative back that can be opened up or folded down to suit however you like to sit. When the back is expanded, it embraces you in a relaxed lounge position. When closed, it supports you in a more upright position. Designed by Gabriel Tan for Herman Miller, Luva was inspired by the shape of a boxing glove and is named for the Portuguese word for “glove.” The soft, cushiony form of this modern chair comfortably curls around you like a cupped hand. It can be combined with other Luva components with the use of a bracket (sold separately). Made in Italy.
