Finn Juhl created a chair for the 1949 Cabinetmakers Guild in Copenhagen. During the exhibition, King Frederick IX sat in the chair, causing a journalist to suggest calling it the Kings Chair. But Juhl resisted and said, You had better call it a chieftains chair, which the journalist did. (At some point the apostrophe was dropped.) This is the authentic Chieftains Chair (1949) by Onecollection. Made in Denmark.
